Mom

Mom… such a simple word, only three letters
Yet, I can call out and say Mom, and she’ll come running
She’ll give me a hug, she’ll give me a kiss, hold me close
And make me feel better...
If I am sick, she’s there to help me heal
If I am sad, she’s there to make me smile
If I am hungry, she’ll feed me
If I am stuck on a problem, she’s there for me
If I need a shoulder to cry on, she’s there
If I need strength, she’ll hold my hand
And always, always, I know you pray for me,
I can feel your prayers every day, as I go to work,
When I take a test, when I have a problem, you pray…
And things happen… the prayers of a mom are always heard.

So Mommy, I honor you today, and every day, really…
I take the time today to say how much I love you and admire you.
If God one day grants me the blessing of becoming a mom,
I pray I can be like you…
Meek, but strong enough to withstand life’s most difficult situations
Loving and kind, yet a force to be reckoned with when your children are involved
Hospitable, generous, accepting, friendly…
I am so thankful that God brought me to you….
You’ve loved me and comforted me every day from the moment I was born…
I love you mom!
